ON THE FARM
You are welcome to follow us around the farm and watch what happens everyday,
or even pitch in and help if you like. Plus picking our brains (what's left of them:)
is free of charge. Or if you're here just to rest and relax, that's perfectly fine too.
But there's lots to do and here's a short list...
Meander through our 40 acre wood and find a spot to picnic.
Fish or canoe in the large lake (Coneross Reservoir) behind our property.
Help pick fruits or veggies and get some to eat , in season.
Or help feed the chickens and gather a few farm fresh eggs.
Watch the farm animals or the birds and butterflies.
Go on a hayride around the pasture to visit the cows.
Look for crawdads (crayfish) in the creek.
Sit round the fire pit and roast hotdogs or marshmallows.
Try your hand at goat milking and taste some milk when you're done.
Lay on a blanket out at night and watch the star show.
IN THE AREA
If you haven't visited Oconee County before, you're in for a treat.
Forests, mountain streams, wild rivers and glorious views are around every bend, it seems. The folks at the Mountain Lakes Convention and Visitor Bureau in nearby Walhalla, SC are a great resource for finding out what to do, where, when and how. From agritourism to ziplines, its all within a 30 min drive from the farm. Truly amazing!
